Professional Experience

Team Leader john st advertising: January 2017- Present

Overview: Recruited to onboard the newest and largest account at the agency (Home Hardware). I led a cross function agency and media team to help Home Hardware leadership re-position their brand and bring to market. More recently, I’ve been working with Loblaw Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors and their media partners on a series of initiatives.

Key Clients: Home Hardware, Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, Mitsubishi

Highlights:

  • Successful onboarding the Home Hardware business and the rollout (internal & external) of a new brand position: Here’s How.
  • Working with media partners to re-imagine the retailer’s go-to-market approach creating cohesive/integrated themes and a heavier emphasis on digital media channels.
  • Successfully building the case for “brand” messaging within the Shopper Drug Mart organization.
  • Leading a series of internal steering committees to help shape future of the agency (digital thought leadership, employee experience, service offerings)
  • Working with media partners to develop enhanced consumer journey intelligence for Mitsubishi; providing channel usage a behavioral insights to inform comms planning.

 

Head of Client Service VICE Media: May 2016 - January 2017

Overview: Leading the Client Service division for VICE Media's Canadian office. Responsible for the overall performance of the client service team, including but not limited to revenue growth, organic business development, client relationship management and overall experience excellence.

Highlights:

  • Implemented new organizational approach to RFP management, and challenged the team to build out process to improve cross functional project management.
  • Contributed to a successful 2016, with a +2x revenue growth, multiple industry awards nominations and a successful staffing re-organization to better suit the challenges of significant growth.

Highlights: Developed a new brand identity and positioning for a new large Canadian Insurance provider. Lead a cross-functional/cross office team (10+) to bring the new brand to life via various streams (website, collateral, office design, awareness campaign)

Highlights: Implemented an agile style project management style to create Canadian Tire’s new digital catalogue.

Highlights: Recognized by the Webby Awards for the Canadian Tire Spring 360 paralax microsite experience. A very ambitious production that nearly killed us, but it worked!

Highlights: Integrated campaign leader on one of Canada's largest and most fast paced advertising accounts. Successfully overhauled Rogers (multiple) Facebook properties to create a central social content platform. Worked with multiple Rogers stakeholders to create a social content editorial board.
